Ingredients for Thanksgiving Pizza
- Pizza Dough – You can purchase premade pizza dough from your local grocery store or use canned pizza dough. Homemade dough is another option, but you’re probably tired of cooking!
- Mashed Potatoes – The leftover potatoes help prevent the crust from getting soggy from the gravy and cranberry sauce. They crisp up and are amazing on this pizza.
- Gravy – Use leftover gravy instead of tomato sauce. Spread it liberally over the pizza.
- Mozzarella Cheese – It’s not a pizza without mozzarella cheese. For this recipe, I used fresh mozzarella cheese from the deli area of the grocery store. However, shredded mozzarella is a great alternative.
- Turkey – Cut or shred the leftover Thanksgiving turkey into bite-size pieces. Sprinkle the turkey over the pizza.
- Prosciutto – Cured meats, like prosciutto, salami, or pepperoni, crisp up on a pizza and add to the crunch. They also add a slightly salty flavor. Cut the meat into smaller pieces for easy eating.
- Stuffing – Crumble leftover stuffing all over the Thanksgiving pizza.
- Cranberry Sauce – Add a little sweetness to the pizza pie with leftover cranberry sauce. It’s a great blend of sweet and salty.

How to Make Thanksgiving Pizza
This fabulous leftover Thanksgiving dinner pizza is the perfect way to eat leftovers. It is a unique take on Thanksgiving leftovers that’s simple and easy to make. It’s perfect for those days after make a full Thanksgiving spread when you don’t want to cook.
Step 1 – First, flatten out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, like a pizza stone or baking sheet. Then follow the baking instructions for your exact dough. I used canned pizza dough and the directions told me to prebake the dough for 5 minutes before adding the toppings.
Step 2 – Once the dough is prepped, add the toppings. Start with the mashed potatoes. They act as a barrier between the pizza crust and the gravy so the crust doesn’t get too soggy. Spread them over the dough leaving an inch of bare dough for the crust.
Step 3 – Next, add the gravy. Spread the gravy liberally over the potatoes. This is a substitute for the tomato sauce you typically find on a traditional pizza.

Step 4 – After the gravy comes the cheese. I prefer fresh mozzarella but shredded also works. Lay the cheese over the whole pizza. Top the cheese with the pieces of leftover turkey and prosciutto.

Step 5 – Crumble leftover stuffing over the other pizza toppings. Then, drizzle leftover cranberry sauce over the pizza.

Step 6 – Bake the pizza according to your dough’s baking instructions. You may need to add a few minutes to the bake time due to the volume of toppings.

Step 7 – Once the pizza crust is a beautiful golden brown, remove the pizza pan from the oven and allow it to cool for several minutes. Cut the pizza into slices and serve.
Additional Ideas for Toppings
This delicious pizza combines all of the elements of a traditional Thanksgiving spread, so feel free to include your favorite dishes.
- Green Beans – Add some leftover beans or green bean casserole.
- Sweet Potatoes – Substitute regular potatoes for a layer of sweet potatoes or use sweet potato casserole for the sweet ingredient instead of cranberry sauce.
- Crispy Onions – Top the pizza with a little crunch and use up your leftover crispy onions.
- Cheddar Cheese – If you like the sharp taste of cheddar cheese, mix some in with the mozzarella.
How to Store Leftover Thanksgiving Pizza
Honestly, I don’t recommend storing this pizza. It’s made with leftovers that have already been reheated and refrigerated at least once. Reheating and storing food repeatedly compromises the safety of eating leftovers. Safe storage also depends on how many days you store the original leftovers.

If you’re looking for a fun way to use Thanksgiving leftovers, you have to try this pizza. It’s also a fun dish to take to Friendsgiving parties at the end of November.
