What a month September was! I feel like life always sneaks up on me in the fall. One minute all I have on my calendar is a baby shower and taking my mom to the movies, then next thing I know I’m booked with a last minute trip to Disney, dinners, parties and coffee dates! It’s not a complaint by any means! I love being busy! It just always sneaks up on me! It’s looking like October has just as much fun and activities involved. I’m ready for it! Here are a few of my September 2019 favorites!
I have a new addiction. These Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough Chunks are absolutely AMAZING. They are just the cookie dough chunks out of their cookie dough ice cream. You keep them in the freezer and they are amazing for snacking. I first heard of them from Jen of Paisley and Sparrow, but I hadn’t seen them in any local stores. I finally stumbled across them at Target a few weeks ago and now I pick up a bag every week.
As an early birthday gift for my mom I snagged tickets for the Downton Abbey movie on opening weekend. I got the tickets for our local Cinebistro so we’d be comfortable and so I could have a little glass of wine. My mom hadn’t been to Cinebistro before, but I think she enjoyed herself! I thoroughly enjoyed the movie! I loved Downton Abbey when it was on television and the movie was basically a long episode of the show. There was plenty of happiness and proper drama, plus plenty of little comedic moments.
I tend to be a little on the cheap side when it comes to hair and skin care. Usually when I find new products it’s because they were gifted to me or I heard about them from an influencer. I won some Moroccan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner from an Instagram giveaway a few months ago and I absolutely LOVED it. When I started to run out, I wasn’t a huge fan of the price tag to buy more for myself so I did a little research. I found the OGX Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner to be pretty comparable and at a much better price point. It’s available at Target, grocery stores, just about anywhere and is less than $10 a bottle.
I just got back from a trip to Disney World for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, so I needed a costume for the festive occasion. I didn’t want to spend too much money and I wanted something that would be comfortable in the Florida heat. The deciding factor for my costume was Mara. She decided earlier this month that she wants to be Darth Vader for Halloween and she wants me, Jesse and Bellamy to all be Stormtroopers. I started hunting for StormTrooper costumes and found this cute little tank dress from Rubie’s Costume Company on Amazon. It was less than $20 and with a pair of shorts underneath it was perfect for the Disney Halloween celebrations. I also love that I will get more than one wear out of it. I will wear it again for our family Halloween costume, plus it will be great for future Star Wars movie premieres and events. I love an excuse to dress in costume! Rubie’s has a ton more costumes and dresses like this for other characters like Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and BB-8.
No trip to Disney is complete without a trip to Earl of Sandwich. Jesse and I first had Earl on our honeymoon to Disney, back in 2011. I believe we had it at least 3 times that week. Ever since, it’s been our mission to get Earl whenever we can. We actually sprinted across the Philadelphia airport for it once. Naturally, I went on my Disney trip back in February and I went twice on my trip last week. It’s an obsession. I should probably be grateful that there isn’t an Earl of Sandwich nearby or else my wallet and waistline would be in trouble.
Ok I NEED those cookie dough bites (although I’m pretty sure I’d eat the whole bag at once haha)
So good seeing you today!!
