Nerd Love – Han and Leia Art

The perfect art for a nerdy couple! I hung some Han and Leia art in our home to reflect our love for our favorite Star Wars couple. Every home needs a touch of something fun and quirky!

star wars printsYep. I finally got around to hanging those Star Wars Han and Leia art prints I ordered Jesse for Valentine’s Day a few weeks ago. (You can order yours here!) You guys all chimed in to help me decide my dilemma and I appreciate it. The Force is definitely strong with all of you. The most votes went to the small “hall” (if you can even call it that) that leads from the front door, past the living room and into the kitchen. You all insisted that this adorable piece of nerd-dom needed to be on display for all to see, and I agree! šŸ˜‰han and leia printsSorry about the glare in a few of these pictures. You all also insisted that I hang them facing each other. At first I thought this wall would be too small for that, but I was wrong. So glad I listened to you all! Hanging them here also meant I had more options as far as what color the frames would be. I decided on a fun red, the color of love or dark side lightsabers, to bring a splash of color to this hallway, plus it will tie in nicely with accents in the living room, eventually.Ā spray painting framesSince the weather was nice this weekend I was able to take my frames that I picked up for the Macklemore Thrift Shop Challenge outside for a good dose of spray paint. Man, it felt good to spray paint again! I can’t wait to do it more this spring!Ā Rustoleum red spray paintI chose Rustoleum’s Colonial Red in a Satin finish to achieve a good full body red color, without things looking like a stop sign. And I am in love with how everything came together. I walk past this Han and Leia art every day, more times than I can count, and they have been making me smile every time. šŸ™‚star wars printsHow about you guys? Any smile inducing art additions at your house? Do you display your nerdiness/ lameness for all to see? May the Force be with you.

  1. I LOVE those prints. They would work perfectly in our house. We have a Doctor Who (10th Doctor) fan art that we bought at Comicon either last year or the year before. We ALMOST picked up a HUGE Tennant poster, but when we circled back to it, it was gone.

  2. Hi Ashely,

This is Belle from ReImaginationPrints. Thank you so much for this post and the one about deciding where to hang the prints. I just love to the dictionary pages in their new homes. I’m just thrilled that you say they make you smile each time you see them!
