Let’s Get Crafty – Part Dos

Tuesday I told you about the girls’ craft night I went to before Thanksgiving and shared my friend Sommer and I’s Christmas crafts.

Today I’m sharing my friends Becky and Kari’s super cute yarn wreaths! They wrapped a beigey-gray yarn around 2 different sized foam circles and then decorated using berries and felt flowers. I’ve seen a bunch of tutorials on Pinterest for making felt flowers, but have never tried it myself. Becky and Kari made it look so easy by cutting wavy sections of felt and wrapping them around to make roses. I wish I had taken pictures of the process but I was too busy working on my ball wreath. Aren’t these wreaths adorable?!

I’ll probably try making one of my own at some point after the holidays. Then I’ll have quite the wreath collection for my front door between the balls and the twine R!

Kari made another garland wreath with balls attached to it, which I didn’t get pictures of.

And it’s where I got the idea for making a garland wreath for my front door, since the Christmas balls wreath keeps the storm door from closing. I wrapped ribbon around the wreath and stuck some faux berries on it.

I like the simple classy look and it looks great with the garland I wrapped around the front porch railings.

Anybody have Christmas craft projects or outdoor decorations in the works? What are your weekend plans? I have a Christmas play and concert that I’ll share with you on Monday. Happy Friday!
