Fall Mantel
In addition to the amazing clothes of the season, fall provides plenty of opportunities for dressing up the house. I’ve already showed you guys my fall tablescape last week, but I’ve been working on other decorations as well. One of my favorites is our fall mantel 🙂The star of the show is definitely this cute little ceramic owl that I got on clearance at HomeGoods a few weeks ago. He’s just so adorable!
Since our fireplace is brick, I had to add a splash of color because the oranges, reds and browns kind of blend in. The teal of the frame is the perfect splash I needed 🙂
The little pumpkin is actually from the Dollar Store, such a cute find and addition.
And this little vase was made by my grandmother. The picture is one of my favorite wedding photos and also adds even more color to the mantel.
I love decorating for the seasons and just doing this little bit for the fall has got me all excited for Christmas! (Too soon??)
Have you decorated for fall? Does it make you excited for the holidays or is that just me?

Looks good Ashley! Sweet owl.
Its not just you! I have been trying to hold back on busting out all my christmas books and movies, lol. I broke down the other day and watched christmas with the kranks ;]. The owl is precious! I also love the look of empty frames, very cool!
Those little owls get me every time!
It is never too early to get excited for Christmas!! I love that you have something your grandma made up on your mantle!
That owl is so charming, I love him! Beautiful wedding pic too!
I wish I was organized enough to decorate, but I am so, so not. I don’t even want to think about Christmas!
I adore that little owl.
Your mantel looks great! Love the splash of blue.
Super cute mantel! I love the splash of teal in the frame. And your grandmother made that vase?! Amazing!
We almost bought that exact same owl 2 weeks ago. I might have to go back and see if they still have one. For my birthday, my Hubby bought me the white pumpkin and the ORB pumpkin from HomeGoods that I was loving and posted about back in August.
I love it! Your wedding picture is so pretty too 🙂
You mantel looks great! The teal frame is a great contrast to all the fall colours. Love the owl and the litte vase your grandma made 🙂
Love the touch of blue!
I love how popular owls are right now. They are just too cute… yours was a great find!
Love the teal frame and the owl is adorable! I love that you have some sentimental items up there too like the vase from your grandma and the gorgeous wedding photo.
Love all those touches…it looks so fall-y. And yes, decorating for autumn gets me all excited for the holidays that are a couple months away. 🙂
So cute!! I love fall… and owls! 😉
I haven’t done a thing for Fall yet 🙁 You are so organized! Is your fireplace functioning? I can’t tell in the picture if it’s a decorative mantel or a fireplace.
Your owl is so cute on your mantel. I used one to decorate our mantel, too. You are right, the teal frame adds just the right amount of contrasting color.
I am madly in love with your owl. <<Wow, that is a sentence I never thought would come out of my mouth.
Cutest. Owl. Ever.

You did a great job!! love it 🙂
That wedding picture is the type of picture all brides hope to get to capture their special day…AMAZING. I love the owl, the vase, made by your grandma and the blue frame. Beautiful mantel!

I have that exact same owl as well as his buddy in blue and black. I found them at TJ Maxx last year, but didn’t buy the other two color schemes they had. Now I’m going to have to run to Home Goods to see if they have them there. We had a party last Saturday and everybody commented on how cute they were.
Love the mantel set against the brick wall! You’re right; the frame adds just the perfect pop of color. And I’m in love with your little owl! I might have to start collecting owls, at this rate – I just added one to my fall pianoscape. 🙂
Stopping by from Centsational Girl’s mantel party! 🙂
Very pretty; I love the owl and the wedding pic!
