A delicious recipe for taco dip with ground beef. This dip is full of robust flavor, creaminess, and crunch. It’s the perfect taco dip!
Tacos are my love language. Whenever I feel sad, happy, or tired, the answer is always tacos. But tacos can be a little messy and not the easiest to eat while socializing. That’s when it’s time to make taco dip! I make my taco dip with ground beef and a little cream cheese. It’s flavorful and delicious. All the things a taco should be, but in dip form.
Taco dip is the perfect dish to serve at any party or gathering. It pairs well with chips, salsa, guacamole, and margaritas. This taco dip with ground beef is especially robust in flavor. The ground beef absorbs the flavors in the seasoning well. And the seasoning is the key to a delicious dip!

How to Make Taco Dip with Ground Beef
The key to a delicious taco dip with ground beef is well-seasoned meat. For my taco dip, I prefer to use Old El Paso seasoning mix. But any seasoning mix or homemade taco seasoning works. Thoroughly cook the ground beef, then add a packet of seasoning mix and about 2/3 cup of water. Bring the meat to a boil until the taco seasoning thickens. Then add just 4 oz of cream cheese.
The cream cheese helps the ground beef stick together. It also adds a creamy texture. This just makes the ground beef layer of the dip easier to scoop onto a chip. Plus, it brings out the flavors of the ground beef even more.

Layered Taco Dip
After the cream cheese melts, spread the meat evenly across the bottom of a round glass pan. Then add one to two cups of sour cream on top. Spread the sour cream across the meat in an even layer.

The next layer is made up of shredded cheese. I prefer using the Kraft Mexican Style Four Cheese shredded cheese for this dip. This cheese is the best for dips where the cheese isn’t meant to melt. It is very finely shredded. That makes it perfect for dipping. And ensures there is cheese in every bite. Drizzle a tablespoon of jarred taco sauce over the layer of cheese.

Why Taco Sauce?
The drizzle of taco sauce helps enhance the flavor of the dip. It comes right before the lettuce. Lettuce adds a great crunch to the taco dip but is a bit bland overall. Adding a spicy sauce next to the lettuce ensures every bit is flavorful.
Top the taco dip with ground beef with shredded lettuce and quartered cherry tomatoes. The lettuce and tomatoes give the dip a nice crunch. They also add a bit of lightness to an otherwise heavy dip. You can add other favorite taco toppings on top as well. This includes sliced jalapenos, black olives, or red onion.

Serve this delicious ground beef taco dip with tortilla chips or corn chips! It tastes best warm, so serve immediately after preparing.
What To Do With Leftovers!
Store leftover taco dip in the refrigerator in an air-tight container. Reheat for about two minutes in the microwave, without the lettuce. Eat the leftovers with chips or scoop them into a tortilla for a quick taco.

My mouth literally started watering as I was reading this. I love anything related to tacos and this is totally up my alley. My husband and I constantly do ground beef/taco-related meals since they’re usually keto (for him) and free of things I’m allergic to (as long as I make my own taco seasoning)! Such a winner of a recipe here!
This taco dip looks so easy and delicious! I’d love to try this as an appetizer for a move night with my husband soon.
