How to Build an Easter Veggie Tray Shaped Like a Bunny

This Easter bunny veggie tray is a cute way to serve fresh vegetables to your guests this spring. The bunny tray is easy to assemble and is sure to be a big hit.

Building the Bunny Head

Step One – First, place a bowl of your favorite vegetable dip in the center of a large rectangular board. The bowl of dip is the bunny’s head.

Step Two – Next, make the ears of the bunny using round crackers. Place the first cracker on the upper left side of the bowl. Then overlap the crackers moving up the board, create a curve, and overlap the crackers coming back down. Each ear should consist of about a sleeve of crackers (12-18 crackers) with a gap between the columns of crackers.

Step Three – Fill the gaps in the cracker ears with carrot sticks. The carrots add color to the middle of each ear and give them dimension.

Filling In the Rest of the Veggie Board

Step Four – Arrange the raw broccoli florets along the underside of the bowl of veggie dip.

Step Five – Next, line up the celery sticks vertically underneath the broccoli along the bottom of the board. Stack the sugar snap peas horizontally on either side of the celery.

Step Six – Fill in the space on either side of the broccoli and veggie dip with more carrot sticks. The carrots should not extend past the bottoms of the bunny ears.

Step Seven – Arrange the cucumber slices along the outside of the left ear and the radish slices along the outside of the right ear. The two raw vegetables meet in the middle space between the ears.

Create the Bunny Face

Step Eight – Finally, create the bunny face in the bowl of veggie dip. Start with a whole black olive in the center of the bowl for the nose.

Step Nine – Next, Julienne cucumber sticks for the rabbit’s whiskers. Julienne means to cut the vegetable into thin pieces.

Step Ten – Cut a half-moon shape from the bottom of a cucumber slice. This is a little smiling mouth for the bunny.

Step Eleven – Finish the cute little Easter bunny veggie tray with two eyes. Use black olives, blueberries, or dried fruit for the eyes. This tray has blueberry eyes.
