Copycat Chipotle Bowl Recipe
This copycat Chipotle bowl recipe is great for dinner at home! It has all of the Chipotle ingredients (like beans and salsa) but is simpler.
I am addicted to Chipotle. We go at least once a week, sometimes more. I love Chipotle so much that I started making burrito bowls at home. It satisfies my cravings and saves my wallet. Mine are obviously not as good as the real deal, but they are great for an easy dinner!
This entire recipe is pretty much “season to taste” as far as spices and certain ingredients go, so listen to your heart taste buds and omit or add things to your tastes!

How to Make Knockoff Chipotle Bowls
DON’T get overwhelmed with this dish. You do have multiple things going at once, but it’s not hard to balance. The rice and beans go on and cook at the same time and you can make the salsa while keeping an eye on your chicken. No big deal, just breathe.
-If using non-minute rice: start cooking your rice first since that usually takes 30+ minutes to cook.
-Heat up/cook your beans and season.
-Dice up your chicken and then cook it in a well oiled skillet. As the chicken is cooking add all of your spices. I like to add enough cumin, chili powder and garlic powder to lightly coat the chicken and give it the brownish-red color like the chicken at Chipotle. Add the lime juice as it starts to look a little dry.
-Make your salsa and/or guacamole while everything else is cooking.
-When the rice is done add your lime juice and cilantro and stir it in well.
-Stack everything in your bowl to your liking, I’m a rice, beans, meat, cheese, lettuce, guac, salsa, sour cream on top kinda girl. Enjoy!
Writing this post made me hungry… I think I’ll make these for dinner tonight! It’s great for cleaning out the fridge and pantry too, which I need to do before we leave next week!
Man, I love Chipotle! So delicious. I make a knock off of Chili’s Southwest Egg Rolls that even my non-spinach eating hubby loves. I’m totally going to have to try your Chipotle knock off. Yum!
This sounds delicious!!! I love Chipotle but it’s so darn expensive! Man… this was the wrong post to read at lunchtime! Nom nom nom!
I am obsessed with Chipotle, so I will definitely be making this at home! YUUUUUM!
YUM! I am obsessed with Chipotle. We’ve made some knock-off rice before, but this sounds delicious.
wellll now the leftovers i have warming do not sound that great. THANKS ALOT 🙂
This sounds really good. I would probably tweak it and omit the chicken and add mushrooms instead. Chipotle is one of my favorite places to eat too. We recently had a competitor, Lime Fresh, move into town and they don’t have anything on Chipotle. Izzo’s is a close second though.
I LOVE CHIPOTLE WITH MY WHOLE HEART!!! Will definitely be making this. Thanks!
