Why Is It Called Booty Dip?
It’s a little odd to make a food with the word “booty” in the title. Especially because if something tastes like booty, it’s NOT a good thing! However, this dessert dip is so good, it will have you shaking your booty! Hence the silly name, Booty Dip.

- Cool Whip
- Marshmallow Fluff
- Cream cheese
- Mini chocolate chips

How to Make Booty Dip
This chocolate chip dessert dip is incredibly simple to make! And it doesn’t require any cooking! Start with 4 ounces of Cool Whip in a serving bowl. Then add 4 ounces of marshmallow fluff. Stir to combine.
Next, add 4 ounces of cream cheese. You can use a block of cream cheese or a pre-whipped version.
Whip the Cream Cheese
I like to use a block and whip it with a hand mixer for a minute or two. The mixer makes the cream cheese softer and easier to stir. Mix the cream cheese into the Cool Whip and marshmallow fluff. Combine thoroughly.
Once the cream cheese, Cool Whip, and cake mix are well mixed, add about a cup of mini chocolate chips. Stir to incorporate the chocolate chips throughout the dip. For this dessert dip, I prefer mini chocolate chips. They are smaller and easier to scoop. Plus, each scoop is sure to be full of several chocolate chips. That’s way better than just one or two.

Double It Up!
If you’re preparing this dessert dip for a large group, double the recipe! Use 8 ounces of cream cheese. That’s an entire block, so it’s easy to measure. Use a full 8 ounce tub of Cool Whip. And use 8 ounces of marshmallow fluff.
You will need to purchase the larger bag of mini chocolate chips! The regular size bag is typically about 10 ounces. You’ll need 16 ounces, or 2 cups, if you double the recipe!
What to Serve with Booty Dip
This dip pairs well with a variety of cookies! Nilla Wafers aren’t overly sweet or flavorful, so they complement the dip nicely.
Other options include:
- Chocolate graham crackers
- Oreos
- Animal crackers

How to Store This Dip
Store booty dip in the refrigerator for up to three days in an airtight container. You could also store it in a serving bowl covered in plastic cling wrap for about 24 hours.
If you make a big batch of this dip, consider storing a portion in the freezer! It will keep for about a month. But remember, do not thaw and refreeze! Then, you have additional opportunities to serve this fun dip without any extra work.
