HE ACCEPTED OUR OFFER!!! WE FINALLY CAME TO A PRICE AGREEMENT ON “THE” HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! After going back and forth about 6 times, we get to move forward with buying “THE” house!!

I know this is just a step in the home buying process, but, it is a great step forward! We will have an inspection done sometime in the next 10 days and have to meet with our loan lady at the bank on Monday, then if everything goes well we will be closing on February 15th! I like that it will be right after Valentine’s Day because it will help us remember! Not that I think I’d forget, but Jesse may need some help in the memory department. πŸ˜‰

With the offer accepted, Jesse finally gave me permission to start looking at decorative things for the house and make some mood boards. He wouldn’t let me before because he didn’t want me to be crushed if things didn’t work on. We are both pretty confident, due to the upkeep of the house and the seller’s high price, that the homeowners took great care of this house and that nothing major (that would keep us from buying it) will pop up in the inspection so we are jumping into planning mode!

#1 on the list is to refinish the hardwood floor in the eating area. There are a few worn and faded spots that just need a good refinishing. Jesse has whatever bug I had last week, so he’s been watching how to videos the past 2 days to learn how its done!Β #2 is painting and setting up the master bedroom. Jesse wants to have a completed haven to escape to when painting and DIY get too much for him. I’ve already decided that I want to stick with the wedding theme that we currently (kinda) have in our bedroom. I should have a mood board or two done sometime in the next week or so πŸ™‚

#3 is the Man Cave, again so Jesse has a haven to relax in. This room will most likely be the Man Cave to start with, but it will move once we have kids. The carpet in this room has to go! So a big priority is new carpeting in here. Personally I’d prefer hardwood floors in all the rooms, but Jesse likes carpet :p and since there is hardwood almost everywhere else, he wins this round. I have big plans for this room already and they’ll be on here as soon as I get them out of my head!Β I’m probably moving WAY too fast, but I am soooo freaking excited!! Things are about to get cah-razy busy with the Rowlands and we can’t wait! Don’t worry though! Despite the busyness, I’ll still be checking in on the blog on a daily (hopefully) basis. I’ll be sharing more of the house buying process, some mood boards of our ideas, other projects I’m working on at home, some recipes, and random things you probably could care less about! πŸ™‚

It was beyond awesome to check my comments everyday and have all your support for us getting this house. We are beyond blessed to have this opportunity to buy a house and share the experience with you, so thanks for being there. Blog friends are awesome! πŸ™‚

    1. Haha Joseph! It’s just a picture with a bunch of pictures of furniture, rugs, curtains and colors to help you but together a plan and design for a room before you actually buy everything. πŸ™‚

  6. YAYYY!!!!! That house is SUPER adorable and has some AWESOME potential!! Totally great house for a young couple with some DIY talent and ambition! I say you paint the wood trim and baseboards but that’s just because I have a tender spot for white trim against neutral walls. Not a huge fan of wood. But, it’s YOUR baby and you do whatever makes your heart sing “HOMEOWNER!!!”. Congrats!

  7. How awesome!!!! Congrats, I hope everything else goes smoothly for y’all. I can’t wait to see what you do with the place.
